The “Central Government Health Scheme” (CGHS) gives far-reaching health care offices to the Central Govt. workers and beneficiaries and their wards dwelling in CGHS secured urban communities. It began in New Delhi in 1954, Central Govt. The Central Govt. Health Scheme gives exhaustive health care to the CGHS Beneficiaries in India. It has now decided to open a new wellness center as CGHS Varanasi. Here in this article below, I am providing the official notice of CGHS Varanasi

Subject: – Opening of CGHS Wellness Centers (Allopathic) at Varanasi

This is for information of all eligible Central Govt. employees/ Central Govt. Pensioners, ex-MPs and other eligible stakeholders that a Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Wellness Centre has started functioning at Type -III Govt. Quarters 98-100 at Kendriya Colony, Bada Lapur, Sindhoura Road, Chandmari, Varanasi from 19th February 2019 to provide comprehensive medical facilities.

The CGHS Wellness Centre (1) at Varanasi shall cover all eligible Central Govt. Employees residing within a 5 km radius of the Wellness Centre and eligible pensioners and ex-MPs, etc., living in and around Varanasi as per CGHS guidelines.

The CGHS beneficiaries shall be able to avail of the CGHS facilities through the Wellness Centre from 0730 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. on all days, except Sundays and Gazetted Holidays.

The CGHS Wellness Centre shall be under the administrative control of Addl Director, CGHS, Allahabad (Tel No 0532-256 0578).

FAQ:

Q. What is the system for the services of specialists in Dispensaries?

A. Prior registration is required appointment with the CGHS Wellness Centre, where specialist services are available. However, In case of emergency contact CMO i/c of the dispensary of Wellness Centre for consulting specialist without prior appointment.

Q. Is there any interactive mechanism at the dispensary level?

A. At the Wellness Centre ‘Local Advisory Committees’ are formed. CMO i/c holds a meeting with Local Advisory Committee members to discuss local dispensary related issues.

Q. Whom Should I approach in case the CGHS Card is not issued to me in the prescribed time?

A. Contact Joint Director (HQ), CGHS, CGHS building, RK Puram Sector-12, New Delhi in case of Delhi and Addl. Director of City in the case of other cities.

Q. How long does it take to get the CGHS Cards?

A. Normally computerized printout of index card is issued on the same day. Plastic cards are sent to the residence in ‘3’ weeks time.
