The “Central Government Health Scheme” (CGHS) provides comprehensive health care facilities for the Central Govt. employees and pensioners and their dependents residing in CGHS covered cities. It started in New Delhi in 1954, Central Govt. Health Scheme is now in operation in various cities. The medical facilities are provided through Wellness Centres (previously referred to as CGHS Dispensaries) /polyclinics under Allopathic, Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidha and Homeopathic systems of medicines. This has now decided to open a new wellness center under CGHS Srinagar
The Main Purposes Of The Scheme Are:

Sub: Opening of CGHS Wellness Centres at Kochi, Varanasi, Srinagar, Jalandhar, Visakhapatnam & Baghpat – Reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the several representations received in this Ministry for opening of new CGHS ‘Wellness Centres at various cities in the country and to state that the matter has been examined in this Ministry in consultation with Department of Expenditure and it has been decided with the approval of the competent authority to set-up 6 CGHS Wellness Centres at Kochi, Varanasi, Srinagar, Jalandhar, Visakhapatnam and Baghpat
- With the necessary approval of the Department of Expenditure vide ID No. 8296551E- Coord. 1/2018 dated 16.08.2018, the following posts have been created for the new CGHS Wellness Centres to be opened in following 6 cities (namely, Kochi, Varanasi, Srinagar, Jalandhar, Visakhapatnam and Baghpat):

Application are invited from PHARMACIST (Allopathic) who has retired from Central/StateGovt./PSU Services, (preferably those who have retired from (CGHS) for filling up of TWO vacant post in CGHS Wellness Center at Sanant Nagar, Srinagar(J&K) on a purely temporary and on contract basis as per terms and conditions. Duly filled application form should reach in the office of the Additional Director, CGHS, 4th floor, Kendirya Sadan, Sector 9A, Chandigarh — 160009.
The application should reach to this office latest by 15.04.2019. The upper age limit for contractual appointment is 65 years or joining of regular incumbent whichever is earlier. Initially, engagement is made for a period of six months, which is further extendable subject to satisfactory work and conduct.
