CGHS Guntur

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a health scheme run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It provides complete healthcare to the employees, pensioners, and their dependents of the Central Government of India. And now the Central Government Health Scheme is also opening at Guntur. However, as the CGHS Guntur is recently opened the center, it doesn’t have many wellness centers under it.

Health services under CGHS are provided by the Allopathic, Homeopathic and Indian systems of medicine which comes under the Department of AYUSH. Medical facilities are provided through dispensaries/polyclinics and Chief Medical Officers / Medical Officers have been appointed as in-charge of dispensaries for the smooth functioning of the scheme.

Under this scheme, every central employee gets a CGHS card, through which he gets free treatment in government hospitals. Also, in the private hospitals included in the CGHS Guntur list, there is a discount on the fees of that hospital.

CGHS Guntur Wellness Centre

CGHS in progress in the mid-50s with a target to give thorough social insurance offices to Central Government representatives, their wards, and beneficiaries. It is currently inactivity in pretty much every State capital and lakhs of representatives and beneficiaries are profiting the advantage with respect to their wellbeing related issues.

Andhra Pradesh has been redesigned and residuary State began development of new capital Amaravati. There have been authentic requests from workers and retired people that without CGHS and CGHS perceived medical clinics either in Guntur or Vijayawada, are discovering it very troublesome and are compelled to go either to Chennai, Bangalore or Hyderabad for treatment.

A few representatives/retired people have additionally offered a portrayal to me and dependent on that I had composed a letter to Health Minister for opening up of CGHS Wellness Centre in new capital Amaravati or Vijayawada however he communicated asset crunch.

The Government of India has chosen to twofold the CGHS commitment viz. from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 every month as prescribed by the Seventh Pay Commission. Presently Government of India ought not to have any asset crunch.

With upgraded commitment, money related state of CGHS would be multiplied. Thus, I demand Minister of Health and Family Welfare to emphatically consider opening up of CGHS Wellness Centre at the new capital of Andhra Pradesh — Amaravati — and furthermore empanel a few clinics under CGHS.
