Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS)

The Health Department has made a new plan to reduce the infant and maternal mortality rate in Noida. This initiative will be monitored from the pregnancy of the woman to the birth of the child and after that. Such Indian government schemes for women’s have been implemented in India in order to provide vaccination and nutritious food to the child at the time. This will save children from malnutrition.

The Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS) have started for several years. The district was having difficulty in implementing it for some time. However, its information is immediately given on the online portal of MCTS prepared by the Government of India, which can be monitored for the health of mother and child at a higher level.

The first launch date was 1^st December 2009 & the modified launch date was 29^th June 2016

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) started from January 2017. This scheme was started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This scheme is under the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

According to the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), a pregnant woman and a breastfeeding woman will be given 6000 rupees. The main purpose of such Indian Government schemes for women’s i.e. pregnant and a breastfeeding woman is to provide health and nutritional information to the mother or mother-to-be.

Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given by the government for the care of the pregnant and breastfeeding woman. The amount received under the scheme will be given in installments.

Launch Date:

The Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was launched officially by the Honorable Minister of Women & Child Development named Maneka Gandhi on 1^st September 2017.

Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls – SABLA

The Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls – SABLA program is being implemented in the supervision of ‘Ministry of Women and Child Development’. Under this program, the care of 11-18 age group selected from 200 districts of India is being done under ‘Integrated Child Development Project’.

Beneficiaries under this program have been divided into two groups of 11-15 and 15-18 years. Benefits received under this scheme are divided into two groups:

1. a) Nutrition (cooked food given to girls up to 11-15 years old)
2. b) Non-nutrition (15-18 years old girls get iron pills and other medicines).

Launch Date:

This program was sponsored by the Central Government on 1st April 2011.

Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK)

The Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK) was formed on March 30, 1993, under the Committees Registration Act, 1960, aims to provide poor women with a credit facility for their socio-economic uplift. It is given through loans and government organizations, and institutions of appropriate state government.

Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK) lends to these organizations 8% interest rate and these organizations provide loans to women self-help groups / ultimate women beneficiaries at the rate of 8% to 18%.

The fund provides small loans on the lines of a special debt delivery model-RMK-NGO beneficiary, which is the main reason for its success. The other reason is the flexible loan rule, easy loan, the absence of middlemen and a concessional rate of interest.

The Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK) was launched on 30^th March 1993 under the Committees Registration Act, 1960.

One Stop Centre Scheme

For the establishment of One Stop Center (OSC), the Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) has launched a centrally sponsored scheme. It is funded from the Nirbhaya Fund. The purpose of these OSCs is to provide integrated services such as

• Police assistance
• Medical assistance
• Psychological-social consultation
• Legal aid
• Temporary migration for 5 days under one roof for women affected by violence

These centers are being set up across the country to provide integrated support and assistance under a roof of women affected by violence. So far, the Ministry of Women and Child Development has established 182 centers since April 2015. These centers have helped more than 1.3 lakh women affected by violence in 33 States / UTs.

Launch Date:

The One Stop Centre Scheme was launched on 1^st April 2015 to provide support to women who are affected by any kind of violence.
