Let us tell you that under the Child Life Insurance Scheme, you can deposit a premium of Rs 6 to Rs 18 daily for your children. If a policyholder buys this policy for 5 years, then he has to pay a premium of Rs 6 every day. But if this policy is bought for a period of 20 years, then a premium of Rs 18 will have to be paid daily. In this scheme, you have to deposit the premium on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis. After the maturity period of this policy, you are given a sum assured of Rs 1 lakh.

Under this scheme, if the policyholder i.e. the parents die before maturity, then the premium is waived. In such a situation, the child does not have to pay the premium of the policy. This policy becomes a paid-up policy after paying a regular premium for 5 years. At the same time, under child life insurance, you are given a bonus of Rs 48 every year on a sum assured of Rs 1000.
