A new dispensary will soon be opened in the Gwalior city under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS Gwalior) to provide better health facilities to the employees, their families and retired personnel working in Central Government offices. 

This assurance was given by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda to Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Union Minister Tomar had urged Shri Nadda that there is no hospital in Gwalior under the Central Government Health Scheme for the treatment of Central employees and their families. Due to this, more than ten thousand employees have to go to other hospitals.

About CGHS Gwalior:

Beneficiaries in CGHS Gwalior can benefit OPD meeting from pros in any Government Hospital legitimately without the requirement for any referral. 

Beneficiaries in CGHS Gwalior beneath the age of 75 years can look for OPD meeting from Specialists in any of the CGHS Gwalior empanelled emergency clinics in the wake of being alluded by the Medical Officer or CMO responsible for the Wellness Centre

The referral is legitimate for one month and for three OPD conferences. The recipient is required to report back to the concerned Wellness Centre and the Medical Officer or CMO In-control will underwrite the examinations and issue meds according to rules. 

Beneficiaries matured over 75 years can legitimately benefit the OPD offices at the empanelled emergency clinics with no referral from the Medical Officer of CGHS Gwalior. 

On the off chance that any examinations or methods are exhorted and required in a crisis, no extra authorization or underwriting is required from the Medical Officer of CGHS.

FAQ:

Is there any age limit for sons/daughters as a dependant in CGHS Card?

  1. A daughter is eligible until she starts earning, or gets married; whichever is earlier (irrespective of age).

Son is eligible until he starts earning or attains the age of 25 years or gets married whichever is earlier. 

However, in case the son is suffering from any permanent disability of any kind (physical or mental) he is eligible for CGHS benefits even after 25yrs, provided the disability occurred before the age of 25 years.

Are step-children allowed CGHS facilities?

Yes, in case they are dependent on the cardholder as well as other conditions being fulfilled as in the case of dependant daughters and sons.

Whom should I approach in case the CGHS Card is not issued to me in the prescribed time?

You may contact the Additional Director CGHS (Head Quarter), in the case of Delhi and Additional Director of City in case of other cities.
