Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Delhi was started in Delhi in the year 1954. After this, the dispensary has been opened in 28 cities of the country under CGHS. But despite the beginning of Delhi, the benefits of the scheme did not reach the surrounding countryside. In rural areas, there are thousands of employees of central government’s ministry and offices, including the Delhi Police.
On demanding a health card for the benefit of the scheme by these employees, they are refused to make a card by asking them not to be in the Covered Area of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Delhi Dispensary. Apart from this, employees also demanded the relaxation of the covered area, similar to the employees of the health department of the center, but there is no seriousness on their demand.
Employees of Health Ministry employees were given exemption in the year 1988. Recently some rural organizations have been able to solve the problems of Central employees
